Holy mother of GOD
That was ridiculously awesome, well animated, and felt like all the favorite games and flash movies I growing up.
I only wish we could have seen more. And that the animation didn't chug so bad, but that was probably MY computer.

For your epic lolbomb and choice of music, you receive 100/10 STARS, a Roflcopter, ten billion lols, and three replays. Or is it four? I forget, I've watched this so many times.
Christ...
I have never seen a better Flash movie... and I've seen very few actual movies that could top this.
As to what LukeFS said, it's pretty common knowledge that:
An air-burst nuke above America (just one!) at the right altitude would completely shut off everything in the USA with an electric power source. There wouldn't be a single volt of electricity for thousands of miles below the air-burst.
The level of detail is absolutely amazing here, btw.
And the story? It's almost prophetic. There's even still room for it to happen, lol, though I sincerely doubt it will. Unless a car bomb DOES blow up in the next three or so months in front of a US Embassy... and war with Iran starts... Yeah.
They have nukes, you know. I wouldn't be surprised if we did end up going somewhere along the lines Fallen Angel has proposed. Fictional or not, it's damn scary because it's POSSIBLE.
I mean... Christ.
Imma helicopter, Imma helicopter, Imma helicopter
Hee hee, that was hilarious. I didn't actually realize what was going on up until it switched back from the helicow's space flight to reality.
And then I broke out laughing.
IMMA HELICOPTER! 8D

A truly great work of Flash animation. It has that epic scope to it, when all it is is a tale of a man and his shovel... and, of course, the beautiful town he founds. Whether it be Europe or America, this is a tale that applies everywhere. It's a story that the human collective often overlooks, but rings true more than any action movie or knight vs. dragon myth.
And what's more, the animation itself is beautiful. Maybe it's not something from Disney, or Pixar, or whatever. But even when zoomed in the little blob like eyes, mere dabs from a paintbrush for anyone else, suddenly take on emotion. The way the eyes communicate that he's thinking/pondering at the very end, that's true animation right there. The attention to detail is superb as well, though at the very end the corn patch on the right doesn't look complete; only two out of the three rows grow anything, unlike the patch on the right. But that doesn't even begin to marr this freaking sweet piece of work.
So, kudos to you Mr. Parker, and two thumbs up. And screw what people like Pen0rSeckz say, it's not supposed to be photo-realistic. It's meant to tell a story, which it accomplishes beautifully.
I can't animate, mostly because I don't have Flash or the know-how to use it. So I draw. Been doing it since the age of 2. Keeps me sane.
